Alberico Vitalini (1921-2006). Composer of music for films, head of music programs of Vatican Radio. His many compositions include: Franciscan Trilogy, The Magnificat, The seven words of Christ, Fantasia, Estemporanea for organ, Viderunt Omnes for choir and organ (first performance with the choir Iubilate Deo, with Aurelio Porfiri playing the organ) and broadcast at the beginning of the Jubilee 2000, Il Mistero del Corporale to a text by Raffaello Lavagna (performed in 2003 at Parco della Musica in Rome and in 2004 at Politeama Garibaldi Palermo), the opera Davide Re (also to a text by Raffaello Lavagna) and the symphonic impression Tertium Millenium in mundo, first performed in 2004 in Palermo dall'Orchestra Sinfonica Siciliana, directed by Alberto Veronesi. He is also the author of hundreds of liturgical pieces in Italian and Latin.
