Kemlein, Magdalene Dr. paed., music teacher, born on 23rd December 1930 in Dresden, studied music education in Weimar, state examination in 1953; studied piano teaching in Dresden and received her diploma in 1967; aspirant of the University in Halle, and obtained a doctor’s degree in 1957 at the University for Pedagogic in Berlin - 1956-58 major assistant at the Liszt School of Music in Weimar, 1958-91 musical education and deputy headmaster at the music school in Bautzen -1958-2000 music therapy, Abi. Psychotherapy at the hospital Dresden-Neustadt; 1967-98 founder and conductor of the girl’s chamber choir of Bautzen’s music school - BV: D. Improvisations in their current forms of appearance and as a way of teaching music in schools, unpublished dissertation 1956; Methodical guideline for playing songs, 1972; Contemporary elements of sound in technical and auditory educating practices, 1970; publication within the music schools’s curriculum – Production of records: “All mein Gedanken, die ich hab”, 1972 (released in 1999 on CD); “Ich bin ein Musikante”, 1983; 50 adaptations for German folk songs, 1979; "Taubnesselchen", 20 songs for children with piano accompaniment, 1999; "Grüner Haselstrauch", adaptation of 10 Sorbian songs by J. P. Nagel for piano 2002; numerous archive productions of German Sorbian and international choir songs for radio stations in Berlin, Cottbus, Dresden and many more. -1979 medal for the credits regarding artistic achievements (Verdienste im künstlerischen Volksschaffen); 1985 medal for commendable support of the Sorbian folk art; 1988 medal for personal achievements regarding the city of Bautzen; 1995 honorary chair of the East-German association of music therapists – tutorials and lectures all over Germany - Hobbies.: Lyrics, recitation - Languages: English, Russian - Bibliography: Amongst others articles in Dresden’s daily newspaper and in Bautzen’s cultural magazine “Kulturschau”.
